Sumdog competition
Yesterday was the last day for the sumdog competition and room 8 was really pushing hard to become 1st place but even though we came 2nd I think that it was a good achievement because we were in front of room 10. What I enjoyed about the sumdog competition was that we had so much fun and that we all learnt something new. I was so glad to hear that we came second place, and next time we do this I would like to strive harder to get to 1st place. I was also glad that the top 3 classes was from Glen Innes school and I thought that was a big improvement.

Pastel Art Technique
Yesterday we did a piece of art but we used pastels to do it, and I had a lot of fun because I learnt something new. We had to finish it today and I am glad that it is going to be displayed on the wall. My favorite thing about doing this was getting to blend other colors with other colors, if we had to do this again I would try different colors next time.

Reaching for the stars
This is my term 4 e-asttle math strand test, and I think that I have accelerated a little. My e-asttle results was a 4B but I am happy because I have accelerated. What I am aiming for is a 6 as a year 8 student and I am going to try my best to get the mark I want. What I'm going to do next time is practice with my siblings so that I can learn and so my younger siblings will learn as well.

Science experiment- breakfast cup
Making breakfast cup
Today we made a breakfast cup and it tasted so good. When we were making these we were not only waiting to eat it but we were also watching out for the chemical change, and the chemical change was the egg and the bread. The egg was cooked and the bread turned hard like a toast. The temperature change was hot and burning as I held it in my hands, and there was a release of smoke. The chemical change was irreversible and it also formed a new substance which was cooked. Some people enjoyed it but some people did not eat it, but for me it was good. Next time I would like to do it again but better.
